Does peavey make good guitars?

im looking at buying a peavey PXD tragic I and im not sure if its very good or not. its my second guitar replacing my really crappy beat up les paul knock off. pretty much anything is better then that but i was just wondering if it would be good for what i would use it for ( playing for pleasure and a bit of practice with a band, no shows probably). would this be a good guitar?
