I want to live in Okinawa and go to school on base and work on base what steps do I need to take?

My father is in the Marine Corps and they are stationed here in Okinawa, I am only here on a temporary visa for traveling purposes and my sister is on my parents actual orders from the military. My parents are moving back to the states this summer and my sister and I want to stay here and go to school on base and work on base and find housing wherever we can. We were wondering if this is even possible since we are only here because my father is in the military. Is there a special kind of visa that we would need to be able to do this or would it not even work. I know that to get SOFA status we need to work on base. We don't even know where to begin with a process. If anyone knows about this or knows someone that has done similar to this please let us know, any info would be greatly appreciated!
