What is SPOOLING in computer...i want few good lines on this topiic for a seminar?
The term SPOOLING refers to Simultaneous Peripheral Operations OnLine. This is a technique used by the operating system in a computer system to send data to low speed I/O devices like line printers for printing operation. Instead of directly sending data to the printer and wait for the printer to finish operation, the data is directly send to a high speed storage device like hard disk and the CPU can continue to execute other programs and can run to completion faster. When printer becomes available , the outputs may be printed. It is just like thread being spun to a spool so that it may be later unwound as needed
