Why is 'London Cheesecake' so called when it doesn't appear to contain cheese?

This is the rarely seen UK 'delicacy' (flaky pastry filled with jam, covered with icing and shreded coconut), not to be confused with the common 'American'-style cheesecake (or even 'Nigella's London Cheesecake'), which contains cream cheese or a cream cheese substitute over a biscuit-type base.
