How should my friend appease his angry wife after strip club visit?

He went to a strip club, got a lap dance, and came home & told her about it (because he honestly thought she wouldnt be upset). Now she's furious, says he cheated on her, ruined the sanctity of their marriage etc. She has been crying for a day. Please help me help him! What should he do???
