Can i ask my principal put me in my right grade when i failed twice?

i have a consular on my side and a teacher and all i have to do is ask for a meeting should i do it beacause i really want to get in my right grade and i can tell them to check on me and i can show them progress so should i do it or is there another way that i can do this so can somone help me plaese!
