Judging by the visions of Armageddon posted here by alarmists is Global Warming a new religion?

Even if there was no religion OR science, loading up our paper thin atmosphere with CO2 would hold in more heat than can be re-radiated into space in a 24 hr. period. Comparing that FACT to RELIGIOUS BELIEF isn't a valid argument. While the 'temperature' isn't excessive, the 'heat' is enough melt a lot of ice and tundra during the slightly longer summers that this excess heat has instigated. The 'winters' are also slightly shorter so the new ice that forms doesn't compensate for the ice cover lost. To say that the physics of atmosphere and heat are in error requires a new and provable hypothesis....so far there hasn't been one. Science DOES talk about facts...the physics of heat and atmosphere being two of those facts. The addition of man made CO2 to the atmosphere is another fact. It's measurable, it's of the isotope generated by the burning of fossil fuels, and it's increasing at the rate 12 to 15 parts per million every year. This amount of CO2 corresponds directly to the amount of coal and oil burned yearly. Why or how anyone could bring themselves to argue with this scientifically collected, correlated, peer reviewed and published data is a greater mystery than anything found in religion or anything else. What's up with these people?
