Applying braces?

i had mine put in a while ago, first they kinda sand your teeth this doenst really hurt, then they put glue on your teeth and then apply the brackets, they you have to sit there for like 5 minutes till the glue dries, thats also when they put in spacers which are rubber bands in your back molars that make space for other things that need to go in you back molars later. after that you should be done for the day. A couple weeks later you come back and they put metal bands in the very back molars and they replace the spacers. about two weeks after that, they send for some other metal bands to be made for your molars and this is when they take off the spacers and put metal bands in. ps: the spacers only hurt for about 3 days, after its no big deal. hope this helps.. oh and also if they are putting a palate expander on you, be prepared to speak sort of funny, dont worry you will get used to it, its not that bad, and if youre having teeth taken out, then good luck with that too . :)
