Do I have to eat tofu?
I have recently become an ovo-lacto-vegetarian Being a meat eater all my life, I know little about the vegetarian food pyramid. What I have noticed though, is that every single one I look at, seems to include tofu and/or soy in some form. Problem being that I can't really stand soy in any form. Especially tofu. Something about it simply nauseates me. This same disgusted feeling is the reason I stopped eating meat. I don't really know what tofu offers that other foods don't. Can I avoid it by eating lots of legumes? Or is there some reason I absolutely need soy/tofu as a vegetarian?
