How can i approch this 16 year old who might be gay?

Lots and lots of eye contact! I know you're shy, but really, if you make eye contact with someone, you can totally tell if they're flirting with you. Just watch his eyes and body language carefully. And, if he opens up a little, just ask. And if he is, go for it. =D
