Tampons question, please help?

ive never been able to wear tampons. they never went in. now suddenly i can wear them, but its ridiculously painful. it doesnt hurt at all going in. but it hurts coming out. i use the smallest ones i can find and i wait til they're fully absorbed to take them out, but when i take out the tampon im wearing it feels like something is being ripped out. it hurts unbearably. i dont understand. this isnt normal. whats wrong with me
